The City of Boston is the 21st largest city in the country. The Native Americans native to the area were the Shawmut.

Boston was founded in1630 by Jhon Winthrop, that same year Mr. Winthrop led 11 ships with 700 Puritans fleeing persecution from England, because of their religious beliefs.

These Puritans arrived in an area in the new world they first called Tremotaine, due to three hills in that area, which reminded them of an area back home.The Puritans later changed the name to Boston.

In the 1930s the Boston Latin school was established, later to be renamed Harvard University.

In 2013 The Boston Marathon Bombing devastated the City. Despite this tragic event, the citizens of Boston showed their resilience and true colors by coming together and becoming BOSTON STRONG.
