Dallas was founded in 1841 by John Neely Bryan, it is the 9th largest city in the country.

Both the City of Dallas and Fort Worth were developed due to the construction of major railroad lines through the area to allow access to transport cotton and cattle needed by the rest of the country.

These two cities are known by the old saying “where the old west began.” Later on, as the demand for oil grew, the railroad crossings along with the construction of the Interstate Highway system helped Dallas’s prominence as an important hub for the transportation of goods.

Today, Dallas is home to over 500 major companies, including American Airlines and Exxon Mobil. Dallas is also home to five major sports teams, with the Dallas Cowboys and the Dallas Mavericks as the headliners.
